As the minimum wage rates increased on 1st April 2026, employers need to ensure that all employees are on the correct rate for their age.
National Living Wage (for those aged 21 and over) increased from £12.21 per hr to £12.71 per hr.
National Minimum wage increased for 18- to 20-year-old from £10.00 per hr to £10.85 per hr and under 18’s increased from £7.55 per hr to £8.00 per hr.
The apprentice rate increased from £7.55 per hr to £8.00 per hr.
